About the role
We are looking for a Founding Engineer with 3-8 years of experience to be the first technical hire and a true thought partner in building a new health system for patients with chronic conditions. You are an AI-native, consumer-focused builder who is deeply mission-driven and wants to lay the technical foundations for a product that will change lives. This is a pivotal role to help us translate user insights into a product, build out the engineering team, and shape the company's future.
What will you be doing?
- Debate and decide on the product roadmap, architecture, and technical foundations that all future engineers will inherit.
- Build and ship the initial versions of the product, turning manual processes and prototypes into a scalable platform for patients.
- Hire, lead, and mentor the future engineering team, establishing the technical culture from day one.
- Serve as a key thought partner to the founder, challenging assumptions and contributing to the product vision.
- Make critical tradeoffs between speed of execution and long-term scalability to get the product into the hands of users quickly.
