We're looking for a Founding Engineer (Full-Stack) with 3+ years of experience (or 2+ years at VC-backed startups) who has owned and shipped end-to-end projects at companies with strong engineering cultures. You should be comfortable working across the entire stack — roughly 70% backend, 30% frontend — and have a track record of building consumer or prosumer products with measurable impact. Bonus points if you've worked on AI agents, LLM integrations, or automation platforms.
What you'll do
Runbook is building the unified AI operations platform for the physical economy — field services, transportation, retail, and manufacturing. Enterprises will soon run on hundreds of AI agents, but most AI companies rely on heavy Forward-Deployed Engineer models that don't scale. Runbook solves this by empowering non-technical teams to build, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade agents themselves. The physical economy drives $10 trillion in annual economic activity. These industries operate on razor-thin margins with labor as their dominant cost, yet their daily operations are riddled with manual friction — missed ETAs, unverified proofs of delivery, delayed ERP updates. Runbook's agents perform real, complex operational work with enterprise-grade reliability, turning executive AI mandates into measurable revenue and cost impact. Launched November 2025 with live enterprise customers already in production and multiple multi-million-dollar deals in late-stage conversations.
