About the role
Arzana automates factories with a platform of self-customizing agents. It plugs into a factory’s ERP, email, local servers, and other systems and learns from their historical data and current workflows. After a few months, Arzana can prospect for new customers, make quotes, enter orders, buy materials, schedule jobs, collect/pay invoices, and arrange logistics autonomously.
Some of our customers use Arzana as their ERP, and we aim to fully automate 10,000 factories by 2035.
Arzana recently closed a seed round, and we’re growing very quickly. We’re looking for scrappy engineers that thrive in a fast moving, high-ownership role.
As a Member of Technical Staff, you will work directly with the founders and our customers to build, test, and integrate custom agents into our customers’ systems. You will own entire customer buildouts and be held accountable for the timely successful deployment of them.
You’ll also contribute to further developing our Agentic FDE that builds out the entire runtime agent autonomously after being downloaded to the customer’s local server and swimming through all of their data.
What we’re looking for

Experience working in or closely with manufacturing environments: We’re talking gritty, old school manufacturers in rural areas. Translating their non-technical description of a specific workflow into a reliable agent requires learning how to speak their language, ask intelligent questions, and above all, commit massive amounts of information to memory in a short period of time.

Experience taking an agent product or agent workflow from zero to production, whether as a personal project or in a company setting
• Strong builder instincts and a high degree of ownership and autonomy. We’re a team of hackers with a “if you can think it you can build it” mentality
• Excitement for talking with users and quickly turning their comments into fixes ahead of the next call.
• Comfort operating across the stack, from frontend usability to agent/model training, backend architecture, and integrations
• Strong product sense and the ability to make good decisions with incomplete information, and know when you don’t have enough information and what questions to ask.
• Experience taking a large, messy dataset and experimenting with different modeling techniques (RAG, fine-tuning, prompt-engineering, or even old-school ML) to determine the right features to fit on to predict critical output values
About Arzana
Arzana is an AI platform company rebuilding the front office of American manufacturing — automating order entry, quoting, RFQ processing, purchasing, AP/AR, and customer service for manufacturers who still run on fax machines and decade-old spreadsheets. Founded by Marshall Kools and William Alexander, two Stanford engineers and third-generation manufacturing families from Wisconsin and Iowa, the company was born from a deeply personal frustration: watching family businesses spend hours every day on manual data entry and slow quoting cycles. Arzana graduated from Y Combinator's P26 batch, raised a $4.3M seed round, and has grown 30% month over month — 10x-ing revenue during YC alone. Today, Arzana serves 22 customers ranging from 20-person shops to Fortune 500 manufacturers, and has processed over 100,000 purchase orders. The platform deploys semi-custom AI agents built primarily in Python, running on isolated AWS instances so no customer data leaves for outside providers, and already integrates with MES and computer vision systems. The team is seven people strong, headquartered in New York, and operates with a high-ownership, fast-moving culture where every engineer leads their own projects end-to-end — from client communication to deployment. The founders' long-term mission is to fully automate 10,000 factories by 2035, starting with order entry and quoting and expanding to full office and floor operations.
