The internet, mediated by opaque algorithms, is fragile and manipulatable. Variance is using AI to help rebuild an internet that’s safe enough to be free again. We apply AI agents to billions of events a day to reduce risk to millions of users from spam, scams, and abuse. We are hiring a full-stack engineer to help advance our mission of trust and scale our product.
We’re Y-Combinator backed and have grown revenue 15x over the past year. Our customers span Fortune 500 companies and top-tier unicorns.
You’re a fit if you’re:
- Serious about craftsmanship and opinionated about your work
- Fluent with our tech stack: React, NextJS, Typescript, and MySQL, with state management in Redux
- Eager to dive deep into vector databases, LLMs, and the opportunity for building world-class features and user experiences
- Comfortable owning and shipping product features end-to-end to completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in data visualization, or observability-oriented products
- Very familiar with Next.JS, Typescript, React and Redux
What you’ll do
- Ship end-to-end features with timelines measured in hours
- Scale our product to new industries, across pilots, demos, and use-cases
- Help build the fundamentals of our product to scale to billions of users
