DWT’s California Media & Entertainment Litigation team is seeking a midlevel litigation associate (3–5 years) who wants meaningful responsibility on high-profile and cutting-edge disputes at the intersection of entertainment, media, and technology. The role includes significant ownership of litigation workstreams, strong writing expectations, and collaboration with partners/clients on leanly staffed teams, with exposure across content formats including film/TV, digital content, and AI.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and execute core litigation tasks in complex matters, including:
Discovery strategy and management (written discovery, privilege, depo prep/support, discovery disputes)
Motion practice (procedural/discovery motions and other substantive briefing)
Fact development and case support in fast-moving matters
Draft and refine briefs and written advocacy with a demonstrated commitment to improving writing quality.
Support both litigation and counseling needs for media/entertainment/technology clients.
Work closely with partners and clients, taking on meaningful responsibility early.
Collaborate across teams and offices (notably LA ↔ SF) consistent with DWT’s cross-office staffing culture.
