We're hiring a Provider Growth Associate (Account Executive) to work closely with LoulaĘĽs Founding Sales Lead to grow our doula provider network and build referral partnerships with
community-based organizations and healthcare providers. YouĘĽll play a critical role in expanding our reach and strengthening our connections with birth workers and local partners who serve pregnant and postpartum families.
Use a consistent and thoughtful outreach process (via email, phone, social media, and LinkedIn) to connect with independent doulas, doula collectives & training programs, and community partners.
Educate prospective doulas about LoulaĘĽs platform, clearly communicating our value and answering initial questions via email and phone.
Prepare qualified leads for onboarding by scheduling intro calls with our onboarding team, preparing relevant materials, and answering initial questions, ensuring smooth handoffs for next steps.
Maintain accurate records of outreach and lead status in our CRM and keep follow-ups consistent and organized.
Identify and engage promising referral partners – including midwifery practices, perinatal clinics, and community organizations – to develop ongoing partnerships.
Surface insights and feedback from sales efforts to help inform our messaging and growth strategy.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our services, target audiences, and markets to serve as a trusted and informed point of contact for prospective doulas and partners.
Self-starting and resilient: You're an ambitious go-getter and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous early-stage environment. You’re comfortable hearing “No” and can bounce back when things don’t go your way.
Relationship-first: You’re skilled at building genuine connections with prospective leads and partners – nurturing relationships from first contact to first client served on Loula’s platform. You understand how to build and maintain relationships with warmth and professionalism.
A skilled operator: You can balance the art of relationship building with the complex operations of managing several ongoing workstreams and accounts at once.
A strong communicator: You can quickly understand and clearly explain complex ideas, build trust quickly, and tailor your approach to your audience. You’re comfortable thinking on your feet and are excited about trying new approaches.
Mission-aligned: You care deeply about perinatal health equity, community-based care, and supporting birth workers.
You have 1-3 years experience in consultative sales or consumer sales (bonus points if you’ve done this in a startup environment before). Ideally you’ve worked in a healthcare setting at some point in your career, though we're open to adjacent backgrounds if you're genuinely excited about becoming an expert in the space! Specifically, you’ve:

Loula is a software platform and national provider network for independent birth & postpartum doulas to boost their practices by accepting health insurance. Doulas typically operate outside of the traditional healthcare system and face an enormous learning curve and administrative burden when trying to accept insurance. This is why we created Loula. Starting with doulas in California, Loula handles their credentialing, contracting, and revenue cycle management so that they can focus on delivering the best quality care to their clients.
