The Role
We’re looking for one Staff Software Engineer to join our early team. This is a full-stack role with a backend lean, ideal for someone who’s built end-to-end features, cares about product quality, and is excited to work across infrastructure, application code, and UX.
As we evolve the platform, we’re integrating AI thoughtfully both in how we build and what we deliver. You’ll help shape user-facing features where LLMs and automation improve hospital workflows, while also using tools like Cursor, ChatGPT, and Copilot to move faster and build better. We’re looking for someone who’s not just comfortable with AI in the loop, but curious about how it can reshape the user experience in high-trust domains.
What You’ll Do
Hospital food operations are critical, yet broken.
Banquet is rebuilding the infrastructure that powers nutrition in hospitals, where food is both medicine and logistics. We’re starting in healthcare, but nutrition operations are broken across education, aging, and enterprise too. This is a $20B+ market hiding in plain sight. Our cloud-based, user-centered platform is beginning to layer in AI-driven workflows to streamline operations, reduce risk, and amplify staff impact. Patients can order meals from their bedside, families can support remotely, and care teams finally get the tools they need to reduce safety errors, food waste, and labor inefficiency.
We’re a seed-stage startup based in SF and NYC with a team of 8, early traction and a clear path to scale, backed by leading healthcare investors. Our founders blend execution and domain depth: a former Brex/Blend engineering leader and a scrappy SaaS operator with 100s of clinical relationships.
