Moritz Legal is building an AI-native law firm, a legal practice designed from the ground up around AI, not one bolting it on afterwards. The company started by building AI software for lawyers but quickly realized that even better tools couldn't overcome the misaligned incentives of the billable hour model. So they pivoted to becoming an AI-native law firm themselves, using the tools they build in-house to provide better, faster, and more affordable legal services for fast-growing tech companies.
At the core is Moritz, their SaaS platform for legal case management that powers swift document reviews, intelligent drafting, and effortless legal research.
Moritz is in a phase of rapid development with a small, tight-knit founding team spread across San Francisco, London, and Oslo, Norway. The culture is fast-paced, ownership-driven, and deeply collaborative.
