About
the role</strong></h3> <p class="p2">Groupon's Payroll Operations team delivers accurate, compliant payroll across multiple countries. We're looking for a Junior Payroll Analyst who is detail-oriented, eager to grow, and excited about using AI to modernise how payroll gets done. You'll learn the full payroll cycle hands-on while working in a team that actively builds AI-assisted workflows — this role is ideal for someone starting their payroll career who wants to develop both operational and digital skills.</p> <h3 class="p3"><strong>
What you'll do</strong></h3> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li4">Support end-to-end monthly payroll processing: collecting and validating inputs (new hires, terminations, absences, bonuses,
benefits), running verification checks, and preparing data for our external payroll provider.</li> <li class="li4">Reconcile payroll outputs against HR system data (e.g. gross-to-net checks, bank detail and absence verifications) and flag discrepancies.</li> <li class="li4">Work with AI tools (e.g. Claude) to automate repetitive checks, build reusable workflows, and improve process quality — with training and mentoring provided.</li> <li class="li4">Respond to employee payroll queries and support communication with payroll vendors.</li> <li class="li4">Maintain payroll documentation, checklists, and SOPs.</li> <li class="li2">Support audit and SOX compliance activities by preparing accurate, well-documented control files.</li> </ul> <h3 class="p3"><strong>
