About the role
We are looking for a Head of Claims with 7-15 years of experience to rebuild claims operations from first principles at an AI-native Third-Party Administrator backed by Y Combinator, Atomico, and Eurazeo. This is a rare opportunity to redefine how claims should operate in the modern world — not optimize around the edges, but redesign the entire function across multiple lines of business and regions.
What will you be doing?
- Redesigning claims workflows, escalation structures, QA systems, and governance from scratch across auto, property, liability, travel, and other lines
- Partnering with product and engineering to automate and improve claims handling using AI
- Owning technical decisions on complex, high-risk, litigated, or precedent-setting claims
- Building and developing elite claims teams — hiring Claims Handlers, Team Leads, and QA specialists
- Acting as the senior claims expert in customer, carrier, and partner meetings
Key Requirements
- 7+ years of deep technical claims expertise across auto, property, and liability
- Experience leading claims operations and managing Team Leads/Claims Managers
- Strong understanding of leakage, fraud prevention, litigation exposure, recoveries, and QA frameworks
- Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment
- Legal background strongly preferred
