About the role
What we're looking for:
We're looking for a Founding Engineer with experience building scalable infrastructure from the ground up. You should ideally be a full-stack engineer with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS), deployment pipelines (CI/CD, GitHub Actions), and Python. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment and have a track record of establishing engineering best practices. Bonus points if you've been a founding engineer or staff engineer at a high-growth startup.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers Lance's AI agents.
- Take ownership of our deployment pipelines, setting up CI/CD and engineering best practices to ensure our code is stable and scalable.
- Work closely with the CTO and product builders to ship new features and products.
- Architect and implement robust backend systems using our stack (Python, Supabase, Vercel, AWS).
- Lead the charge on system stability, security, and performance as we scale to meet massive customer demand.
- Act as a founding member of the engineering team, shaping the culture and setting the technical direction for years to come.
