About
the role Marley Spoon's Support at Home program is live and growing, government-subsidised meal delivery across five states, 85+ products, and a proven fulfilment pathway. The program works. Now we need someone to scale the provider side of it. This is a build role. You'll own B2B outreach end-to-end, working directly with aged care providers, care managers and peak bodies to establish Marley Spoon as the go-to meal partner in the SaH space. You'll have direct access to decision-makers, fast feedback loops and real scope to shape how this channel grows. We'll back you to make calls. No bureaucracy.
What you'll do Own and execute a cold outreach and warm referral pipeline targeting aged care CEOs, care managers and coordinators across target states Build and nurture relationships with peak bodies (OT associations, aged care networks) to drive referrals and advocacy Support our marketing team on media and PR activity (providing industry context, participating in briefings, and contributing to thought leadership in the aged care nutrition space (roughly 10–15% of
the role) Represent Marley Spoon at industry events, webinars and provider meetings Track pipeline activity, conversion rates and partnership outcomes Research and setup of appropriate CRM system Apply AI-powered solutions and workflows What you bring 3–5 years in B2B business development, sales or partnerships — ideally with exposure to aged care, health, or government-funded services Proven ability to build relationships from cold through to close Confident communicator — equally comfortable writing a tight cold email and presenting to a room of care managers Self-directed with strong follow-through; you don't need hand-holding to move a pipeline Understanding of the aged care ecosystem (SaH, HCP, NDIS) is a strong advantage, not a must-have Comfortable working across stakeholders — internal teams, external partners, media What success looks like in 6 months Measurable growth in registered SaH providers and active care manager relationships Consistent pipeline activity with documented outreach and conversion tracking At least 2–3 media or industry placements supporting program visibility A handover-ready partnership playbook for whoever scales this next Why this role Most BD roles sell a product.
