About the role
What we're looking for:
We need someone with 4+ years of experience in frontend/design engineering who has exceptional CSS skills and a strong eye for design and interaction. You should be comfortable working across design, product, and engineering in a high-performance startup environment, with a track record of shipping polished, production-quality UI. Bonus points if you have startup experience as a technical co-founder or early engineer at a Series A/B/C startup.
What you'll do:
- Build and ship polished, production-quality UI across core products including a mobile app using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Craft pixel-perfect UI details including layouts, typography, responsiveness, motion, and micro-interactions using Tailwind CSS
- Contribute to shared UI foundations including components, patterns, and design tokens
- Work directly with the Co-founder and CTO to deliver fast, reliable interfaces that maintain a high bar for product design
- Optimize for performance, accessibility, and maintainability without compromising on design quality
- Raise the bar for frontend craft through code reviews, critiques, and shared standards across the engineering team
