Forward Deployed Engineer

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer with 2–8 years of experience to own the full loop from customer problem to shipped solution at PointOne. You'll be a true software engineer — not a solutions engineer — who thrives on direct customer interaction, moves fast, and brings both technical depth and entrepreneurial energy to a small, high-caliber team scaling toward a Series A.

What will you be doing?

• Build and ship AI pipelines (e.g. RAG, LLM integrations) directly into production workflows for law firm clients
• Partner directly with law firm leadership — including on-site visits — to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Own features end-to-end across the full stack (primarily backend + AI), from prototyping to deployment
• Develop custom integrations and workflows as new enterprise clients onboard
• Operate autonomously, raise product priorities proactively, and help shape engineering culture as an early team member

Key Requirements

• At least one strong brand on paper — top-tier CS program (e.g. MIT, Berkeley, Georgia Tech, Waterloo) and/or experience at a recognizable high-growth startup or FAANG
• Strong full-stack or backend engineering fundamentals — frontend-only backgrounds will not pass the technical bar
• Demonstrated experience shipping AI/ML products in production (RAG, LLM workflows, or similar)
• Comfortable being customer-facing — visiting clients on-site and communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders
• High ownership mindset — no PMs, no hand-holding; you identify what matters and execute autonomously
