About the role
We are looking for a Lead Product Designer with 4-5+ years of experience to own the design of our Mentor Operations Platform. This is a high-agency, high-craft IC role for someone who can take a problem and solve it autonomously, helping us build out one of our four new product squads.
What will you be doing?
- Take full ownership of the Mentor Operations Platform, elevating the web experience from functional to world-class.
- Clean up and rebuild the design system and component library for the web app.
- Own the design process end-to-end, from user research and problem definition to prototyping and shipping polished UI.
- Design tools that safely scale our mentor operations, simplifying complex workflows into elegant product experiences.
- Partner closely with product and engineering to ensure a high level of craft survives shipping.
Key Requirements
- 4-5+ years of product design experience, shipping complex web products.
- An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual craft and end-to-end product thinking.
- Experience with consumer social apps or highly user-centric B2B SaaS products (experience in digital health is an anti-signal).
- Ability to operate autonomously and solve problems without a lot of structure or guidance.
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) and prototyping with code.
