About the role

About Argon

Argon is building an AI powered OS for pharma. We’re building deep integrations across pharma’s data systems to build a layer of artificial intelligence to power broad decision making assistance. We’re excited to enable the next generation of scientists and pharma companies to bring life saving therapies to market faster and more efficiently.

This role is right for you if you want to build hundred-step agents, design the future of human and AI interactions, and directly impact the rate of progress in both AI and human health.

We’re partnering with some of the biggest names in pharma and have strong early traction with a healthy pipeline to grow into. We are well funded and backed by top investors, including Y Combinator, Wireframe Ventures, and Crosslink Capital.

We value kindness, intensity, direct communication, intellectual honesty, and grit. Join us if you want to be productive, ship, and help build Argon AI.

We are an in-person company with offices in NYC. For non-NYC residents, we are happy to help cover moving and other related expenses.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Product Engineer with a strong focus on frontend development to join our team. In this role, you will lead Argon in shaping the user experience of our platform, ensuring that every interaction is intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing. You will drive the Argon platform to be a seamless and beautiful user interface.

  1. Work closely with the rest of the team to deeply understand workflows, develop user-journeys, and build an intuition around user problems and hypotheses for solving those needs.
  2. Think deeply about the future of human and AI interaction and how AI will behave and feel in professional settings and what that could mean for Argon’s product form-factor.
  3. Drive conversations with designers to collaborate closely on Figma designs and wireframes and transform product insights into product mock ups.
  4. Fullstack experience. You are familiar with our stack (NextJS, React, TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL and Python)
  5. Iterate quickly on frontend and create tight iteration loops by collecting signals on what is working and what isn’t across the product.

About you

  1. Company builder. You want to build through a user-centric lens and be involved not only in engineering decisions but product, design, and business decisions as well.
  2. Detail oriented and user experience obsessed. You are biased towards user experience and have high user-empathy levels. You are comfortable working with designers and figma mocks to bring ideas and visions to life.
  3. AI native. You bridge research and product. You’ve been tinkering with LLMs for the past few years and are comfortable working with vector databases, RAG systems, and building multi-step agents. You want to deploy the latest research and build things.
  4. A hacker. You build quickly, and you find your way to information. Constantly curious and have a serious bias towards action. Leverage the latest tech to build on a modern stack.
  5. Fullstack experience with a bias towards the front end. You are familiar with our stack (React, TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL and Python)
  6. You have hands-on experience turning design mock-ups into code. You’re comfortable working with Figma designs and wireframes, communicating with designers, and turning designs into high-quality, scalable HTML, CSS, and TypeScript code and can use existing React component libraries.

Compensation

Salary can range between $120,000 and $200,000 and will include generous equity grants.

About Argon AI, Inc.

Argon AI is a platform where biopharma and life sciences professionals can execute complex and data driven workflows using natural language. We help professionals get thorough answers to questions about clinical trials, existing treatments, healthcare landscape, and the competitive market in minutes rather than months.

Prior to starting Argon, Samy was responsible for Flatiron Health’s (Roche) first data analytics project which eventually led to the start of the Flatiron Services business unit. There, he saw first-hand the heavily manual process that biopharma companies struggle through to get the insights they need to drive forward their drug development programs. He also helped close over $6M+ in ARR and is an expert in enterprise pharma sales.

Cyrus previously led engineering teams and built 0 to 1 across pre-seed and unicorn startups, managed mission-critical trade generation systems at Bridgewater, and held AI advisory roles at various startups. Cyrus has a duel degree in EE and CS from USC.

Breakthroughs in AI present an opportunity to reinvent biopharma and life science workflows to reduce the time and cost of bringing treatments to patients where delays in bringing a drug to market can cost a pharma company $3M / day.
