Work with Standout in Slack
Slack is the shared working surface for hiring teams: candidate introductions, decisions, questions, and updates can reach the team without another inbox to monitor.
What the Slack experience does
- Brings warm candidate introductions into a shared channel.
- Lets the hiring team respond without changing tools.
- Keeps questions and progress updates close to the team.
Connect Slack
- Open Standout company settings and find Slack.
- Enter the company email associated with your Slack workspace.
- Open the Slack Connect invitation sent to that email and accept it.
- Return to Standout once the shared channel is active.
What happens in the channel
Candidate introductions arrive with the context needed to decide whether the team wants to continue. Your team can respond from Slack, ask a question, and keep the conversation moving.
Standout remains available through the company dashboard as well. Slack is the convenient working surface, not the only way to access the product.
Troubleshooting
The invitation has not arrived
Confirm the company email, check its spam or filtered folders, and use Resend invite from Standout settings.
Slack shows an approval step
Some workspaces require an administrator to approve Slack Connect invitations. Ask a Slack workspace owner to review the pending invitation.
