Your Mission As a Hardware Engineer, you will help shape the technical development of a new cargo e-bike concept from first idea to production readiness, working on the mechanics and components that keep our riders safe and on the road. Designing and developing mechanical components for e-bikes / cargo bikes Selecting and evaluating components and suppliers (e.g. drivetrain, frame, brakes, electronics interfaces) Creating technical specifications, drawings and requirement documents Conducting and evaluating tests and prototype trials Collaborating with external manufacturing and development partners Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and standards (e.g. EN 15194) Coordinating closely with Product Management and Operations on
requirements from fleet operations Your skills and
qualifications Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar, or comparable qualification Professional experience developing mechanical components, ideally for bicycles, e-bikes or light vehicles Confident use of CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360) Understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties Structured, solution-oriented way of working with attention to detail Good German and English skills
