Senior Infrastructure/Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure/Platform Engineer to own and scale the foundation of a high-growth banking platform processing billions in annual card volume. You'll be the person keeping systems reliable, secure, and fast – while building the tooling and infrastructure that enables the rest of engineering to move quickly without breaking things. This is a high-impact role where you'll define the infrastructure roadmap, own critical decisions around performance, observability, security, and deployment, and solve some of the toughest scaling and low-latency problems in fintech.

What you will be doing

  • Scaling and evolving the Kubernetes (EKS) platform, CockroachDB clusters, Kafka (MSK), Temporal workflows, and ElastiCache Redis through hypergrowth
  • Building and maintaining abstractions within Terraform and Pulumi to simplify architecture, increase velocity, and push ownership to product teams
  • Improving the speed and reliability of CI/CD pipelines
  • Solving Slash's toughest scaling, performance, and low-latency problems across a monolithic deployment serving burst financial traffic
  • Introducing and scaling best practices with cloud-native technologies like AWS ALB, WAF, Route 53, OpenSearch, S3, and Vercel
