About the role
We are seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate with 1-8 years of experience in patent and/or trademark litigation. You should be comfortable supporting all phases of IP disputes, from early case assessment to trial preparation, and have a track record of producing high-quality legal writing and research. Bonus points if you are patent bar eligible or have experience with PTAB proceedings.
What you'll do:
- Support federal court IP litigation, with a focus on patent and trademark matters.
- Take ownership of written advocacy, including motions practice, discovery briefs, and claim construction support.
- Work closely with partners and clients to develop case strategy and manage deadlines.
- Conduct discovery and fact development, including written discovery, document review, and deposition preparation.
- Lead discrete workstreams on active cases, demonstrating increasing autonomy over time.
- Collaborate with MVA’s broader IP platform where disputes intersect with licensing, commercialization, and privacy issues.
