Legal Assistant - Litigation Floater

What we're looking for?

We are seeking a highly adaptable and experienced Legal Assistant to join our Litigation group as a Floater. You should have at least two years of experience as a business litigation legal assistant in a law firm, with advanced proficiency in e-filing in both state and federal courts and meticulous docketing skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can seamlessly switch between supporting multiple attorneys with different work styles, and manages competing court deadlines with precision and a collaborative spirit.

What you'll do:

• Operate digital transcription applications to prepare correspondence, memoranda, and court pleadings for multiple attorneys across the Litigation department.
• Take ownership of electronically filing litigation documents with state, federal, and appellate courts, ensuring all submissions are timely and accurate.
• Work closely with attorneys and paralegals to docket court scheduling orders, briefing schedules, and other critical court-mandated dates.
• Manage and maintain electronic client files, including pleadings indices and original documents, using iManage.
• Support attorneys by arranging meetings, depositions, and conferences, managing calendars, and handling client invoices and new file openings.
• Review, edit, and finalize attorney and paralegal time entries to ensure accuracy for billing.
