What we’re looking for
We’re hiring a Founding Engineer in a player-coach role: roughly 50% hands-on building across our stack, and 50% building the SF engineering team with Stefan: recruiting our first founding engineers, setting up engineering
processes, and establishing the culture.
What you’ll do
- Ship product ~50% of your time across our stack (Next.js 15, React 19, TypeScript, tRPC, PostgreSQL)
- Recruit and help close a small group of excellent founding engineers
- Build engineering processes (hiring loops, code review)
Who you are
- A recently-minted engineering manager (5–7 years, ~6–9 months managing) from a high-growth startup: you grew into management organically, you still design, review, and ship code
